I founded the design studio Bitter in 2022 in my adopted home Berlin. Bitter is a space to experiment with how to design, produce and wear garments and accessories in times of resource scarcity. Working primarily with pre- and post-consumer waste,
I explore how the nostalgic elements and patina that come from the used materials come together with futuristic shapes and fits.

Pants become Jackets – The first collection, Bitter Outerwear, consists of serially produced yet unique jackets and coats made from discarded garments such as men‘s pants and wool sweaters. When curating and assembling the materials for each piece, unique combinations of color and textures are created. The cut is designed to incorporate and reuse both functional and decorative elements of the original garments, such as trouser pockets and sleeve cuffs.
